Pastor Rene and Ada Luevano have been dedicated shepherds, providing unwavering spiritual guidance and leadership to IBC in Ledbetter for 19 years. Their service is marked by compassion, wisdom, and a profound commitment to nurturing the faith of our members as well as strengthening our bond as a family.
We are thrilled to introduce you to our newly appointed Youth Minister, Joshua Luevano, who has embarked on a remarkable journey of redemption and service to the Lord. His story is a testament to the transformative power of a relationship with Jesus.
In 2016, Joshua Luevano found himself at a crossroads, having hit rock bottom due to his struggles with alcohol and drug addiction. It was then that he realized that he could not overcome these challenges on his own. Through a profound encounter with the conviction of the Holy Spirit, he discovered a renewed purpose in life. The Word of God, which he had heard throughout his upbringing, took on new meaning and transformed his heart.
Joshua Luevano began his journey of self-discovery and service to God by enrolling in the Life Changer Internship program at Dallas Baptist Association. He dedicated his Summer of 2023 to this program, which he successfully completed in June of the same year. His commitment and hard work were recognized as he received the Certificate of Achievement, marked by superior performance and excellence.
During his time in the internship, Joshua Luevano learned how to effectively teach and equip young minds, with a special focus on teenagers. This focus was a natural choice for him, as he and his wife, Cecilia Luevano, are proud parents of two teenage sons and a young adult daughter. Joshua's personal experiences have deepened his understanding of the unique challenges that young people face, and he is deeply committed to guiding and nurturing them on their spiritual journeys.
